Safety Standards and Compliance Requirements for Laser Lights
The safe use of laser lights follows strict standards. Since stage laser lights directly face audiences, their safety requirements are more rigorous. Most are classified as Class III B, where direct beam viewing can cause eye damage—maintain a minimum safe irradiation distance of over 2 meters to avoid direct exposure to audience areas. Prior to use, stage laser lights require registration with performance supervision authorities, submitting light pollution control plans and safety protection measures to ensure beams do not affect audience vision or on-site order. Equipment must comply with IEC/EN 60825-1 standards, with stage laser lights mandatorily equipped with emergency stop devices and beam angle limitation functions to avoid crowd-dense areas and audience eye level. During use, maintain a distance of ≥1 meter between stage laser lights and flammable materials such as stage curtains and props, and control power supply voltage within ±10% of the rated value. When used on stage, pair with dry ice fog to enhance effects, adjust the projection angle of stage laser lights for oblique projection (avoiding direct eye exposure), and assign professional lighting technicians for real-time monitoring.(lightspace)
